F-84 PHOTOS FROM MICHAEL BRADLEY

Photos of F-84 aircraft by, or from the collection of, Michael Bradley, whose father, Major John S. Bradley (ret. 1970) was Executive Officer of the 55 Sqd 20th FBG stationed at Wethersfield, England. Used by permission.

YP-96A depicted on Republic poster

Major John S. Bradley was presented with a poster by Republic Aviaton in honor of his services for the USAF flying Republic aircraft. Although the photo on the poster is captioned as "USAF -- Republic F-84F Thunderjet", the photo is actually of the YF-96A, the first prototype for what became the F-84F Thunderstreak. Note the rocket armament being carried underwing. The poster is 17x22, much larger than this photo printed on it; the light brown poster paper lends its cast to this very rare color photo.
